I certainly do not agree with Bill White, he was a lousy mayor of Houston, but if we reelect Perry as Governor of Texas we are going to get screwed big time. First of all if Ricky boy wins reelection he will be spending all his time running for president or at least a 2nd spot on the Republican ticket. He won't give a dam about what happens in Texas and will be paralyzed to really lead our state for fear that it will harm him as a national figure.  The worm will not even support Arizona's attempt to reduce illegal immigrants, he is too busy kissing their illegal asses and handing out goodie bags along the border with Mexico.

And on top of that Obama will cut and reduce every Federal dollar he can that goes to Texas in an effort to damage our economy to make Perry look bad, Obama does not want Perry to look good even if he is just the number two person on the Republican ticket.

At least with big ears White he will be looking for a 2nd term and most likely will manage our state from the center rather then from the left, plus we have that numb-nuts Republican David Dewhurst ( remember he killed the voter ID bill ) as our lieutenant Governor who sets the legislative agenda in the State Senate and both the Senate and the House are controlled by Republicans. So White really can not do much more damage to Texas then Perry has over the past eight years, he certainly cannot increase the amount of illegal's pouring over our border, Perry has kept that wide open for all these years.

I admit Bill White is goofier then Goofy himself, he is such a   s l o w   speaker he could put a crack baby to sleep, and his big floppy ears forces him to stay inside on windy days, but he just might be the better choice for Texas.

If you agree with the citizens of Arizona the best way to show that support is for us Texans to clean-up Texas. As the illegal’s are pushed out of Arizona they will seek shelter in the neighboring states and Casa Juan Diego in Houston will welcome them in with open arms while spending our money to provide them with tons of free stuff.

If there is a real desire to clean-up the illegal immigration problem in Harris County it has to start at Casa Juan Diego where illegal’s have been receiving protection, free health care, and other benefits paid for by our tax dollars for years, if those who employ illegal immigrants are guilty of breaking our laws then Casa Juan Diego certainly is very guilty also. So why is this magnet for illegal immigrant’s protected from the law?

According to this poll the majority of Texans do not agree with Rick Perry regarding illegal immigrants. Based on this it seems Governor Perry has done a poor job regarding illegal immigrants. So again we are faced with having to vote for the lesser of two pitiful options, Perry or White? Maybe just skipping the Governors race on the ballot is the best option? It is sad that the Governor of Arizona has more guts then our own Texas Governor, he is too busy shooting coyotes with his laser gun.

PERRY CRAPS ON TEXAS

And sadly there are still many people who will vote for Perry because they
have been brain washed into believing the Democrats are much worse.

Perry: Arizona immigration law not right for Texas

By APRIL CASTRO Associated Press Writer © 2010 The Associated Press

April 29, 2010, 6:39PM

AUSTIN, Texas — Arizona's tough new illegal immigration enforcement law would not be right for Texas, Gov. Rick Perry said Thursday, upholding the state's long-held tradition of rejecting harsh anti-immigrant policies.

The Arizona law will require local and state law enforcement officers to question people about their immigration status if there's reason to suspect they're in the country illegally, making it a crime for them to lack registration documents. The law also makes it a state crime to be in the U.S. illegally.

"I fully recognize and support a state's right and obligation to protect its citizens, but I have concerns with portions of the law passed in Arizona and believe it would not be the right direction for Texas," Perry said in a written statement.

"For example, some aspects of the law turn law enforcement officers into immigration officials by requiring them to determine immigration status during any lawful contact with a suspected alien, taking them away from their existing law enforcement duties, which are critical to keeping citizens safe."

The Arizona law has been hailed by conservatives as long overdue and two Texas lawmakers have said they'll introduce similar immigration measures when the Texas Legislature meets next.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told a U.S. Senate hearing Tuesday that a Justice Department review is under way to determine the Arizona law's constitutionality.

Though Texas is ruled by conservative Republicans, top GOP leaders from former Texas Gov. George W. Bush to Perry have rejected harsh and punitive immigration policies.

Bush continued his moderate approach to immigration once he got to the White House, often to the dismay of his conservative base.

"We need to uphold the great tradition of the melting pot that welcomes and assimilates new arrivals," Bush said in his 2007 State of the Union address. "We need to resolve the status of the immigrants that are already in our country without animosity and without amnesty."

Perry took heat during this year's Republican primary for backing in-state tuition for illegal immigrants, saying in a debate that the students are on a path to citizenship.

"Texas has a rich history with Mexico, our largest trading partner, and we share more than 1,200 miles of border, more than any other state," Perry said Thursday. "As the debate on immigration reform intensifies, the focus must remain on border security and the federal government's failure to adequately protect our borders.

"Securing our border is a federal responsibility, but it is a Texas problem, and it must be addressed before comprehensive immigration reform is discussed."

Of course the HPD is writing more tickets, I bet the same goes for the Harris County sheriffs and Constable departments. Whenever the economy is slow the police are pressured to write more tickets to increase the revenue to the city and the county, after all some of that money goes to paying for the overtime the police work and of course to any pay increases they might receive later. Sadly the police departments lately are more about revenue collecting the actual crime prevention, writing tickets pays money fighting crime costs money.

When will Texans stop accepting Rick Perry's crap about blaming Washington for securing the Texas border and demand that Perry, who has the authority, grow a set, act like a real leader and secure the Texas border? http://www.texastribune.org/stories/2010/mar/16/curious-case-kesha-rogers/

If Rick Perry is anywhere near the Texas-Mexico border then it must be election time. What a scam artist this guy is, instead of whining and blaming Washington why doesn’t Rick simply put the guard on the border himself? He has the authority to do it, even State Senator Dan Patrick admits that fact.
http://www.texastribune.org/blogs/post/2010/mar/15/tribblog-perry-pleads-again-drones-national-guard-border/

Remember this
 Perry campaign ad
from the last election??
He talked a big talk
but did nothing then
and has refused
to do anything since.
And he deserves
4 more years??

State Senator
 Dan Patrick
even admits that
Governor Perry
 has the authority
 to secure
 the Texas border.

So why does Perry
 refuse to take action?
Because it is easier
 to  blame Washington
 then to be
 a responsible leader??

Just like sending our money to Washington and then begging to get some of it back why are we at the local level sending more of our money to Austin and then begging to get some back? The local money sent to fund the State and Federal Governments should be used as a "treat" to get them to perform for the local governments not the other way around.

The state of Texas is changing for the worse? Or for the Good? You decide:
http://www.texastribune.org/stories/2010/mar/11/murdock-demographic-changes/

Texas Virtual Academy at Southwest is a public school that offers a great alternative to attending the physical public school, this is not home schooling, it is the public school coming to your house, instead of your child going to the public school.
This is the first year for our son who is in the 6th grade to attend this on-line school and the results have been great. The teacher to student ratio is half of the public school, the software that is used it great, our son's grades are A's and B's, he is much happier, it teaches self motivation and independence instead of being spoon fed in a physical classroom, and he is ahead of his expected course completion. Every child should have this great opportunity to have this type of education, it is the future of quality education for our kids.

There is no politics, you are more involved and in control of what your child learns, plus your child and you have more one-on-one time with the teacher then the physical public school can offer.

For more information about the Texas Virtual Academy at Southwest click onto the link to the left and to see the actual software used click onto the K12 link to the left.

There is no political correctness, no indoctrination, no school buses, no school bells, nor peer pressures, no drugs, no distractions, just education the way it is supposed to be. And when our son’s friends get off their school bus he is already there riding his bike, school work completed, and he has NO homework.

He can click on to an assignment and complete it anytime he wants, 24/7.

They provide everything your child requires, books, materials, microscope for science, and even a desktop computer and printer all at no additional cost to you because it is a public school and you already pay for it.

If you are seriously considering home schooling, take some time and check out this alternative, it is the best of both worlds and you are in control.
